On a beach in old Bombay
On the street amongst the rubble
In the light that moves the mountains
Little fingers on the glass
Little face against the window
Little late to turn away
In the amber light of night
In the heat and heave of morning
On the road we move along
In the gesture of a hand
In the prayers that pass unnoticed
Hear the woman and her song
I feel the breath that fuels the fire
That turns the face towards another sunrise
There's a monkey on a string
If you pay you'll see him dancing
Magic tricks down on the sand
There's a woman with a child
He has eyes like all the oceans
Little hand upon my arm
Past the ancient city walls
In the lanes of Varanasi
Mother river on the run
On the way to light and love
On the path to all the answer
Sewing seeds under the Sun
I feel the breath that fuels the fire
That turns the face towards another sunrise
